Mark C. Bronfman is a private wealth advisor affiliated with Sagemark Consulting and the founder of the BOLD Value team. Mark’s practice focuses on executive compensation, capital structure, and legacy and business succession for business owners and key executives in middle market companies. Mark joined Sagemark Consulting in 2003 and founded the BOLD Value team in 2005.
Mark has served as a private wealth advisor to over 100 middle market business clients primarily in the revenue range of $25 million to $2 billion. These enterprises include professional services providers, private equity, government contracting, banking, real estate, manufacturing, retail, and engineering and systems integration. Mark also serves high net worth individuals, many of whom were previously owners and executives with middle market companies.
Mark's consultative approach to strategy and planning draws on over 20 years of boardroom experience. Prior to affiliating with Sagemark Consulting, Mark had a successful career in management consulting, most recently serving as an equity partner with Accenture in Reston, Virginia, with an emphasis on in business strategy, financial transactions, and business operations for Fortune 100 Global companies. Prior to working at Accenture, Mark served as a director with Deloitte Consulting, where he focused in Communications and High Technology as well as Litigation/Financial Services.
Mark has served on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth, National Capital Chapter and is an active member of the Financial Planning Association. Mark is also on the board of Congregation Beth El of Montgomery County. He earned an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State. A Certified Public Accountant*, Mark is a frequent speaker at industry events and has published articles in the Journal of Financial Planning and Worth Magazine. Mark and his family live in Bethesda, Maryland.

Bob Gottschling, ChFC, CMFC, is a financial advisor affiliated with Sagemark Consulting. He works with business owners, senior level executives, retirees, professionals, and businesses. His areas of expertise include advanced personal retirement, investment and estate planning, and qualified and non-qualified retirement plan development for businesses. Bob joined Sagemark Consulting in 1984 and has worked with hundreds of clients in a variety of industries of varying sizes and types.
A graduate of the University of Maryland and holder of two professional designations, Bob has three children and lives in Ashburn, Virginia with his wife of 32 years.

Joel Kim is a senior consulting director with the Bold Value team at Sagemark Consulting and a registered representative of Lincoln Financial Advisor. Having joined the team in 2011, Joel offers deep insights, practical skills and advice in helping to ensure resiliency and robustness in long-term executive compensation planning and in crafting optimal entity / capital structure and relevant corporate documents. Drawing upon his investment banking and equity research experience, he also has expertise in financial scenario modeling, valuation analysis, and structured scenario planning around long term incentive and business succession strategies.
His prior experiences include a variety of financial and operational consulting projects such as special event, natural resources, and web-based IT services. Additionally, he was a senior equity research analyst and vice president for international investment banking firms such as ING Barings and Macquarie Securities in Asia for about 10 years and was an IT consultant for PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in the US prior to that.
He has graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park campus with a degree in Business with a focus on Finance.
Amir is the Managing Principal and CEO at Mylestone Plans, an affiliated group of Lincoln Financial Advisors/Sagemark Consulting. He also serves clients as a financial planner.
Amir also acts as the Employee and Executive Benefits Specialist for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement. The Center is the leading advocate and service provider supporting nonprofit organizations in the greater Washington, D.C. area and Commonwealth of Virginia.
His expertise includes benefits planning for businesses and nonprofits with a specialty in ERISA 401(k) and 403(b) plans. Amir also specializes in comprehensive financial planning for executives, with a focus on areas such as retirement income planning, tax efficiency, estate maximization and risk/investment management.
As a top nationally recognized advisor at Lincoln Financial Advisors Amir travels all over the country to educate other financial professionals on his innovative approach to retirement income planning. He has been featured in publications such as Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and Huffington Post on various topics related to comprehensive financial planning. Amir has also consistently qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table* since 2010. Amir was born in Jaffa, Israel, moving with his family to the United States at age six. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was a member of the prestigious Maryland Law Review publication. After serving as a clerk for the Honorable Judges Alpert, Rombro and Heller in the Baltimore Circuit Court, Amir practiced in the field of estate planning and devoted his time to advising startup nonprofits on legal matters on a pro bono basis. He joined Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp. in 2005 as a Financial Planner.
In addition to being a licensed attorney admitted to the bar for the state of Maryland, Amir is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with Series 7, 6, 65 and 63 registrations. He is also a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ and a licensed Life and Health Insurance agent.

Matt Sirpis is a financial planner at Sagemark Consulting. He joined Sagemark in 2001 as a case design specialist, collaborating with senior advisors to create plans tailored to their clients' specific needs. During his first three years, Matt gained invaluable experience working on a wide variety of complex cases requiring sophisticated solutions; when he started his own practice in 2004, he was armed with a strong foundation in financial planning and extensive industry knowledge.
Matt currently focuses on the areas of retirement, estate, investment, and business succession planning. He works with clients to identify and attain their objectives across these areas by applying a strong working knowledge regarding designing customized family and charitable trusts, a point of emphasis in his practice.
Matt holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Radford University. He is currently working toward his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification. Matt enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Anne Machesky joined Sagemark Consulting/Lincoln Financial Advisors in July 2001. Prior to joining Lincoln Financial Advisors, she was the president and owner of her own investment advisory firm for eighteen years. She has been a Registered Representative in the financial services industry since 1980.
Anne’s unique market analysis, skills, and planning expertise offer a rare value-added perspective for her clients. Her expertise is in the technical analysis of the markets; she specializes in wealth and income planning. Anne’s approach to portfolio construction and wealth management utilizes a dynamic asset allocation style that bridges the long-term view and the short-term tactical view, in a proactive forward-looking approach to asset allocation and rebalancing.
Anne was selected for the Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS) 2014 Circle of Excellence, being qualified at the Emerald level. Anne is a three-time recipient of the Circle of Excellence award from Lincoln Financial Group. She has been a member of the CLS Investment Firm, LLC President’s Council since 2002. She has been a host and speaker at Lincoln Financial Network’s national education forum since 2004, and she is currently serving as the Vice Chairman on the Board of The Resource Group, a group of elite top 200 planners within Lincoln Financial Advisors on an invitation only basis. She has been chairman of the Resource Group Investment Committee for the past four years. Anne is also the President and founder of a thought strategies company focusing on broadening individual or group perspectives to navigate shifts in business transitions. Her thought strategy book was featured in June 2008 special issue of HOW magazine on creativity.
Anne attended the University of Wisconsin, majoring in finance. She currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has many clients located throughout the U.S.

Alex serves as the Employer Retirement Specialist. His responsibilities include providing holistic advisory and educational services to our employer clients to help them better manage their fiduciary responsibilities. In addition, he is instrumental in empowering employers’ staff to make educate decisions about their retirement plans, their individual investments and their overall financial planning.
A Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with Series 7, 6, 63 and 65 registrations, Alex is also a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist. He joined the retirement planning industry in 2010 after earning a JD specializing in ERISA retirement plan administration.
Alex was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and moved to the United States in 1994. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Chicago and his JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. Alex began his career at Transamerica and the Aegon company. While learning the intricacies of group retirement plans, he earned the prestigious Certified Employee Benefits (CEBS) designation, which is considered the premier designation in the industry.
Alex lives in Rockville, MD with his wife, Iana. Beyond finance and investments, his interests including literature, history, politics, philanthropy, soccer and travel.
